Ever since Shaquille O’Neal was named president of the model’s basketball division in 2023, sneakerheads (particularly these in our IG feedback) have been clamoring for a Reebok Shaqnosis retro. We’re comfortable to report that Shaq’s fifth signature mannequin is ready to return on April third, marking its first launch within the Shaq/AI renaissance period.
Initially launched in 1995 and worn by Shaq throughout his ultimate season with Orlando Magic, the Reebok Shaqnosis marked a departure from Shaq Attaq fashions launched between 1992-1995. The sneaker was a part of Reebok’s “Mobius” assortment alongside silhouettes just like the Blast, Kamikaze II, and Frank Thomas’ Huge Damage coach, standing out with hypnotic curves that have been solely amplified by its authentic black/white colorway.
The upcoming launch brings a pre-aged aesthetic to the mannequin’s most iconic look, taken with a cracked suede higher in “Washed Black/Chalk.” Rope laces break farther from custom, as do white specks atop the black parts of the midsole. Shaq’s iconic “Dunkman” brand is stitched onto the heel, whereas the midfoot Reebok brand and outsole branding are available in vibrant, Orlando-esque blue.
