Of all of the musical landmarks in New York Metropolis, few are as iconic as CBGB within the East Village. As soon as situated on Bowery and Bleecker, CBGB continues to have an enduring legacy regardless of being closed for practically twenty years. In 2025, Nike honors this establishment of music and tradition with particular Dunk Low impressed by the dive-y venue.
Impressed by CBGB’s charming grit, sticker-bombed bogs, and signature font on the awning, Nike crafted this honorary Dunk Low with a particular textured overlay, customized insoles, and numerous particulars which can be each in plain sight and hidden from the view.
The “NIKE” on the heel is modified to duplicate the unique CBGB font that stood on the awning. Behind the tongue are “Bleecker” and “Bowery”, the cross-streets through which this venue stood for many years. The insoles are a messy mosaic of Nike stickers, set to imitate the partitions of the claustrophic restrooms.
Though the venue not exists (a John Varvatos retail retailer stands as an alternative), Nike could have some particular occasions deliberate for this forthcoming launch. Keep tuned for updates as we be taught official launch particulars of the Dunk Low “CBGB”.
